NORTHERN Mindanao Police Regional Office Director Rolando Anduyan denied issuing a memorandum ordering his men to establish their own community pantries and select beneficiaries who will be asked to post about their program on social media.
“I cannot comment on that kasi hindi naman siya official (memo),” he said in a telephone interview with SunStar.
“Walang kaming ganyang memo na binaba. If there is a memo, I should be the one to sign (it),” he added.
A copy of the alleged memorandum order was shared by alternative news organization Pinoy Weekly on social media.
Anduyan said the “BARANGAYanihan” program, which he first implemented during his stint as the Manila Police District director in 2020 as a pandemic response, selects the beneficiaries through the barangay due to limited food packs.
