The men, aged 36 and 44, were arrested in the Derry area. The New IRA claimed it was responsible for leaving the device outside a property at Ballyquin Road near Dungiven on Monday April 19. Police said the device, an explosive connected to flammable liquid, was left at the rear of the officer’s car, beside where her three-year-old daughter would normally sit.
