Police ID man shot, injured in officer-involved shooting in Ross Township

An officer-involved shooting was reported in Ross Township Monday, May 10, 2021.
Police have identified a 26-year-old man shot by a Butler County Sheriff's deputy in Ross Township Monday.
Alex Hoskins was "brandishing a firearm," according to the Butler County Sheriff's Office release. He was treated and released from Fort Hamilton Hospital. The sheriff's office has Hoskins in custody.
Officials said they were executing a search warrant when the man was shot. Police said in the release that Hoskins believed he was under investigation, and that he bought a firearm in preparation for a confrontation with police.
