Police Identify and Formally Charge Links Shooting Suspect The man accused of shooting a Tuscaloosa Police officer in the chest Monday afternoon has been identified and formally charged with three counts of attempted murder. Captain Jack Kennedy, the commander of the multi-agency Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, said 19-year-old Devonte Lavon Farmer is wanted for assault with a deadly weapon in Noxubee County, Mississippi and may have been involved in other shootings in several other jurisdictions in the Magnolia State.
Investigators now believe Farmer is the man who fired shots at three Tuscaloosa Police officers at the Links apartment complex and golf course in southern Tuscaloosa Monday afternoon.
