POLICE REPORTS FOR APRIL 22, 2021 By John Smathers Apr 22, 2021 2:59 PM A Punxsutawney man is facing child endangerment charges after his two young daughters were found running down the sidewalk in cold temperatures early Sunday morning. The Punxsy Spirit reports that 28-year-old Zackery Reinard has a preliminary hearing set for June 8. The charges stem from an incident that began when police were dispatched to the 600 block of Cherry Street around 1:30 am after a report that two young girls, ages 2 and 3, were running down the sidewalk with no shoes or coats on. Officers say the girls also appeared to have dirt and small cuts on their faces and their hair looked as though it had not been washed for several days. Police say Reinard woke up just after 3:00 am and called 911. Police informed him his daughters were safe at the station with officers and child service workers. Reinard reportedly told police he fell asleep and forgot to lock the door. Police reported Reinard’s apartment, located on Sycamore Street, smelled of garbage and there were drinks and food spilled throughout.
