According to a press release from the division, members of a fugitive task force tracked Taylor, a Pennsylvania resident, from Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he is wanted for pointing a firearm at officers on Dec. 4. In a press conference with Cleveland Police Chief Calvin D. Williams, Cleveland Public Safety Director Karrie Howard, and US Marshal Pete Elliot, the team said the shooting occurred after members of the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force attempted to apprehend a suspect in the store's parking lot.
