A pony which fell down a hole around 10ft deep has been rescued. Emergency services were in High Elms Lane, Abbots Langley, for several hours this morning (January 22), with firefighters and a vet working together to rescue the stuck Shetland pony. Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue says it was called around 8.30am and found the pony had fallen down a hole in woodland around 10ft deep. Fire crews had cleared the area and made it safe for the arrival of the vet, the fire service said.
