The Woodland Pub on Liverpool Road is the venue for the independent market. It takes places on Saturday and the impressive lineup for May includes 55 local artisans and small independent producers. Lisa Cowley, one of the organisers said: "It is fast becoming a fixed date in everyone's diaries. "Working alongside the Great Sankey Parish Council and showcasing local community groups such as The Animal Welfare Charity we can't wait to be back. "There will be local pie producers (we know Warrington loves its pies) street food, epic cakes, tasty treats, local gin sellers, awesome ice cream, deli, handcrafted jewellery, arts, craft plants and summer hanging baskets and more.
