The port authority announced detailed that during the first semester of this year, it has moved 1.3m teu thanks to higher US imports, if the pace of transfer is maintained, the complex could exceed 2.6m teu for the first time. Containerised import volume at Oakland has increased year-over-year for five consecutive months. "We've never seen this level of activity and based on the outlook we are preparing for," said Port of Oakland Maritime Director Bryan Brandes.
