The plan would be for SummerSlam to air live from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on August 22nd. According to Wrestling Inc, the problem with this is WWE may be competing with the planned boxing match featuring Manny Pacquiao and Errol Spencer Jr. which is a very highly anticipated fight for Saturday, August 21st. The issue is not due to the date, but the fact that WWE may have an issue filling the 60,000-capacity Allegiant Stadium, as Las Vegas has traditionally been a difficult market for wrestling and a major event taking place the night before may cause problems trying to fill the stadium.
