During that game, though, my mind was stuck on the Leafs' comically bad run of power play efforts that had seen them outscored over 40 man-advantages by a 3-1 count. At the end of a five-minute power play in which Toronto had little success, Auston Matthews scored a broken play rush goal that prompted me to tweet this:
