MEDICINE HAT, AB – Recent shipments from Prairie Gleaners will help feed people on two continents. On Nov. 25 and partnering with Manitoba-based Faith Missions Inc., Prairie Gleaners supplied 1,120 bags of its dehydrated soup mix, equivalent to 140,000 cups of rehydrated soup. The bags went to Winkler, Man. where they will be added to a sea container headed to the Ukraine. The container is already filled with clothes, blankets, medical equipment and more. On Dec. 1, a sea container with about 5,600 bags of the dehydrated soup mix was sent to the Dominican Republic. The 5,600 bags will make about 700,000 cups of soup. This was a partnership with Food for the Hungry, Association Dominica De Rehabilitation.
