From Cheshire East Council - Getty Images PRIMARY schools across Cheshire East have seen a 98 per cent attendance rate as pupils complete their first week back in the classroom. Since pupils returned to school on March 8, there has been a high attendance rate across the borough. For all schools in Cheshire East, this was 80 per cent - above the 68 per cent average across England. Full attendance data from secondary schools will be phased over the first week to allow for the rapid testing of pupils. Cllr Kathryn Flavell, Cheshire East Council cabinet member for children and families, said: "Getting children and young people back to school has been a top priority nationally and for this council.
