News by Melissa Iaria 11th May 2021 5:28 AM A Carey Grammar student has been hospitalised following a fight allegedly sparked after another student used a racial slur during a party at the weekend. Police said the 16-year-old victim was taken to hospital by paramedics following the assault in Kew on Saturday night, with non-life threatening facial injuries. It's believed four males were involved in the altercation on High Street just after 7pm. Former police officer Naomi Oakley's security firm U-Nome Security had guards at the 16th birthday party attended by Carey students. "The Carey kids had had a couple of drinks, they were walking across the oval," Ms Oakley said.
