Pro-government Media: Fidesz to Quit EPP Today Fidesz is set to announce the move on Wednesday morning, Origo said. Viktor Orbán wrote to Manfred Weber, the EPP’s group leader, on Sunday, the portal noted. “If Fidesz is not welcome, we will not insist on remaining a member of the group,” he wrote. The EPP, Orbán insisted, had been “struggling” with a leadership and political crisis for a long time. The EPP is about to change its rules of procedure allowing the party family to penalize an entire member party, rather than just a single MEP.
