LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Protester Denorver "Dee" Garrett is suing a Louisville Metro Police officer he says repeatedly punched him in the face while arresting him at Jefferson Square Park.

Denorver "Dee" Garrett's eye is badly bruised Tuesday evening in Jeffersontown. Garrett was in the process of being arrested for protesting in a roadway on Sunday when officers felt he was resisting being handcuffed and threw him to the ground. One LMPD officer began to hit him in the face repeatedly with his arms restrained. April 20, 2021
