Protesters call for Chicopee City Councilor Lucjan Galecki to resign over sexual harassment comments Updated Jan 06, 2021; Facebook Share CHICOPEE — Protesters gathered in front of City Hall Tuesday to call for the resignation of a city councilor who said women wearing provocative clothing at “sketchy” nightclubs are at fault if they are sexually harassed. About 20 residents held signs and chanted in a demonstration before a City Council meeting. The demonstrators called for Lucjan Galecki, who has served as the Ward 3 councilor for a year, to resign immediately. The demonstration was organized by Our Revolution Chicopee. The group is calling for a recall provision to be added into the city charter and wants more information about sexual harassment training that will be offered to the council, said organizer Jeannette Rivera.
