February 6, 2021 8:10 pm The Providence College men’s basketball team was defeated by the St. John’s Red Storm, 92-81, on Saturday, Feb. 6 in Alumni Hall at Providence College. The Friars fall to 9-10 overall and 5-8 in BIG EAST play. Nate Watson (Portsmouth, Va.) registered a career-high 30 points in the game. Noah Horchler (Melbourne Beach, Fla.) scored a season-high 19 points. Both players corralled eight rebounds in the game. Horchler and A.J. Reeves (Roxbury, Mass.) scored the opening baskets for the Friars. At the 17:02 mark, Horchler knocked down his first three-pointer. Both teams played well offensively to start the game.
