Public input meeting on Community Development Block Grant May 22 Oakridger The city of Oak Ridge Community Development Department will hold an in-person, public meeting at the Oak Ridge Public Library this weekend on its Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Annual Action Plan. The meeting, which is set for Saturday, May 22 from 1 to 2:30 p.m., will give the public another opportunity to share input, ask questions and weigh in on how the plan addresses the objectives required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the grant. “The plan details activities that benefit low- to middle-income people as well as how the city is preventing and/or eliminating slum or blight. The grant can also be used to address urgent needs relating to HUD,” Oak Ridge Community Development Specialist Matthew Widner said in a news release.
