People will be able to go online starting Tuesday to review PennDOT’s plans for an $8.3 million project along Route 228 in Buffalo and Clinton townships. The project on Route 228, also known as Ekastown Road, includes improvements such as resurfacing and widening the road from a roundabout at Saxonburg Boulevard to 300 feet north of Sarver Road. The road now consists of 10-foot-wide lanes and 3-foot-wide shoulders, which will be widened to 11-foot-wide lanes and 4-foot-wide shoulders. Other upgrades will include improving drainage, signs and pavement markings. PennDOT plans to acquire small strips of land in public rights of way and relocate some utilities.
