(NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Public Works Committee discussed 12th Avenue SE improvements from the City’s STIP List and funding through NDDOT to be constructed in 2022. City Engineer Travis Dillman reports last month they were surprised when they were awarded funds for the mill and overlay project on Highway 20. Dillman says the proposal is about a $1.4 million project with 81% being covered by the North Dakota Department of Transportation and the rest covered in city-share. Dillman says they might be able to use COVID-19 funding the city received to cover their portion of roughly $260,000. Councilmember Dave Steele stated that as it stands, the current avenue setup is not satisfactory.
