SOME pubs in East Lancashire have decided to remain closed until they can welcome customers indoors because of upcoming gloomy weather. After a wet bank holiday Monday, pub bosses wary of the weather forecast will stay shut until May 17 when restrictions will allow them to welcome customers inside. The New Golden Cup in Lower Darwen announced earlier this week that they will be keeping the doors closed because of the 'unpredictability' at the weather. A spokesperson said: "We don’t want to be as unpredictable with our opening times as the Great British weather is, so have decided this is the best course of action.
