The future of Pueblo lies in the tiny-but-rapidly-growing hands of its children. And although the vital importance of quality child care and early learning is well documented and widely accepted, many children — particularly those in impoverished and middle-class families — still fall through the cracks. To shine a light on the importance of quality child care and local efforts to create safe and healthy environments for Pueblo kids, the Pueblo Department of Public Health and Environment hosted a screening Wednesday of the early care and education documentary “No Small Matter,” which was followed by a web-based panel discussion of local experts.
