Queensland to open borders to NZ 9News.com.au 11/12/2020 Chanel Zagon Queensland will open its borders to travellers from New Zealand from 1am tomorrow, Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has announced. Ms Palaszczuk made the announcement on Today this morning, revealing Chief Health Officer Dr Jeanette Young had advised her last night it was safe to open Queensland's borders to the country. "Visitors coming in from New Zealand from 1am tomorrow are welcome into Queensland ... and we are hoping that eventually New Zealand will not have to do that hotel quarantine upon return, and then there would be free-flowing movement between the two," she said.
