NEW CARLISLE Three days after Grace Ross was found dead in the woods, little is known about what happened to the 6-year-old, as police continue to investigate and the community tries to heal. Grace was reported missing by her family about 6:30 p.m. Friday; she was last seen in the area of Chapman Drive. Her body was found two hours later in a wooded area nearby. An autopsy found the cause of Graceâs death to be homicide by asphyxiation. The St. Joseph County Metro Homicide Unit is handling the investigation and police have arrested a 14-year-old boy in connection with her death. The boyâs name has not been released and as of Monday evening, no charges have been filed in adult court.
