KNBN NewsCenter1 December 10, 2020 RAPID VALLEY, S.D. — The Rapid Valley Volunteer Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire in the 4000 block of Sherry Court, just around 9:00 p.m. Wednesday night. First responders found a free-burning fire, with a moderate to heavy smoke condition, in the interior of a residence, extending onto the porch and yard at the rear of the structure. The fire was contained to the residence, stopping the spread of the flames to nearby structures, infrastructure and other improvements. The structure received moderate damage. No injuries to Firefighters, civilians or domestic animals were reported, The American Red Cross Serving Central and Western South Dakota is assisting the occupants.
