Readers speak out in support of police following assaults

READERS spoke out in support of police officers after a Flintshire Sergeant described the impact of assaults.
The Leader reported on Tuesday how Sgt Matt Subacchi of the Flintshire North policing team described some of the assaults he has endured over his 12 year career with the force.
Those included being punched, kicked, run over, bitten, hit with a baseball bat and more.
His comments followed a message from the Flintshire North team that five officers had been assaulted over a two week period.
Readers took to the Leader's Facebook page to have their say.
Adele Roberts said: "No need for this abuse," while Jill Howell posted: "There is no respect for our police like there used to be.
