ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - Dougherty County leaders told the WALB News 10 team their latest program, Restore Dougherty, is going well already a week in.
The HUD-funded program is geared towards low or fixed-income homeowners who still have storm damage from recent natural disasters, like the 2017 storms or Hurricane Irma.
Officials said that so far, they already have around 25 pre-qualification applicants. WALB was told that a lot of them have been elderly, retired or disabled.
