The Sheboygan County Division of Pubic Health has revised data about the incidence of COVID-19 in Sheboygan County over the past few days, as indicated by discrepancies between daily updates and the Sheboygan County Coronavirus Case Dashboard. On Monday, 137 active cases were reported in the daily update, while the dashboard now displays no active cases for that date. Whereas Wednesday’s daily update from the County DPH indicated 127 active cases, the dashboard shows 117, and with Thursday’s update, 155 active cases are shown on the dashboard. Thursday’s daily update indicates only 128 active cases, an increase of one since Wednesday. 13,651 positive test returns have been received in all since the start of the pandemic, an increase of 12 since Wednesday, and that’s confirmed in the daily update. The County DPH emphasized that the ability to process and confirm cases can influence these numbers, and indicates that the two-week rates and trajectories provide a more accurate depiction of the status of the pandemic. Those numbers show a declining incidence of COVID-19 here. Hospitalizations were down by one, to 5, and a total of 578 Sheboygan County confirmed cases have ever been hospitalized for COVID-19.
