By Kathy Chouteau Want to make a significant difference in the life of a Richmond youth? Richmond Promise, an organization which provides $1,500 renewable, four-year scholarships to Richmond residents pursuing post-secondary education, along with college guidance, is on the lookout for mentors for its 2021-2022 cohort. Mentors share their knowledge, expertise and unique perspective to help cultivate the personal and professional growth of the program’s scholars. Mentors are asked to meet their assigned mentee a minimum of one hour per month during the July 2021 to June 2022 timeframe and to agree to a one year commitment. Preferred qualifications for the roles include having professional career experience, as well as familiarity with LinkedIn and virtual communication such as email, texts and video calls.
