A motorbike rider says he didn't see police behind him when he pulled a wheelie while overtaking on a Coast road known for blind spots.
Brandt Colman Rumble, 27, was on Tuesday fined $1000 for riding his motorbike dangerously at Doonan on November 11.
Noosa Magistrates Court heard police spotted Rumble tailgating a car in front of him while riding his KTM motorbike on Eumundi-Noosa Rd.
Police prosecutor Phillip Stephens said officers travelling behind Rumble grew concerned when the rider pulled to the right of the car in front of him.
"The rider was then seen to execute a wheel stand and commence overtaking the vehicle in front at high speed on the rear wheel only," Sergeant Stephens said.
