Ripon center takes discards from holidays Ripon students help staff the community recycling center. - photo by Photo Contributed The holidays are over and with it came packages of gift boxes along with other materials. Ripon residents can take those items and any Styrofoam – now being accepted – to the Ripon Recycling Center on South Industrial Avenue. The operation is a cooperative effort between the City of Ripon, the Ripon Unified School District, and American Recycling, with the recycling program benefitting students at Weston, Ripon El., Ripona, Park View and Colony Oak elementary schools.
