Introduction IP rights constitute an important target in any entrepreneurial activity. Although the journey of an entrepreneur – from laying down the first ideas to putting them into practice – is often extremely complex and firmly anchored in the financial and administrative sides of the business, one of the central aspects at the beginning of any such project is represented by the selection, protection and careful management and defence of IP assets. Given that practice has shown that neglecting these aspects sometimes leads to dramatic situations that can significantly affect a business, it is advisable that businesses prioritise the registration of their IP rights.
