It was cold this past morning, with many locations down to the lower 20s and even some upper teens. Wednesday night will not be as cold but we will fall below freezing in most locations. Calhoun, Liberty, Jackson, Holmes, Washington, and inland Walton are under a hard freeze warning again. Coastal areas will fall 30 to 36° Wednesday night and inland areas 26 to 30. Thursday clouds will increase through the day but showers hold off until late evening. Temps will be warmer with highs expected to be in the mid-50s and Thursday night temps in the 50s. A strong cold front will move through in the early morning hours, and a few showers will be possible. Rain totals under half an inch are expected with the showers that work through the cold front. The highs for the day Friday will be in the morning hours with temps falling through the day behind the front. Saturday and Sunday will be cold with temps falling to the low to mid 20s for lows and highs in the mid to upper 40s. A hard freeze to the coast is possible both nights. Next week we filp the pattern and build warmth into the area. temps will run 5 to 10 degrees above average by the end of the week. That means the 70s for highs could be the forecast. Rain chances will be back with the warmth but for now not seeing anything concerning for severe weather at this point. Overall stay warm esp through the weekend then a warm-up next week for those that do not like the cold.
