We got the problem but we got the call and. You need to stand up and we need to fight for our lives there is no peace until there is just. A makeshift memorial has been set up for George Floyds mourners have been paying their respects leaving flowers and messages the saudis also become a place for peaceful protest against Police Brutality contrasting with the anger that spoiled over in other parts of the city and so the herald sun whos george floyd song told us she never expected this scale of support. He would like the only thing we have said here and. Im im still trying to cope with the fact. You know lonely here because when we make you. Play and think you know. You know we arm. Do not believe that there was any previous marriage between these 2 and i would like to clear that up but i do not believe so knowing both of these men how did you feel what was your reaction when you 1st thought the video. Thousands of reportedly gathered outside the Capitol Building in Minnesota National guards have been securing its perimeter police say the protests on sunday have been peaceful so far the demonstrators there are demanding a special prosecutor be appointed for the case of george floyd as well as charges for the 3 other officers who were present during the fatal incident. Occurred fuse have been imposed across dozens of cities in the us meaning people are prohibited from being outside after 8 pm hasnt stopped the writers though reportedly 75 city saw protests spill out into the streets with 10 states calling in the National Guard in new york city alone over 30 officers have been injured in clashes with around 350 arrests made. The protests in new york of calm since the volunteers from earlier this weekend the citys mayor has called for an investigation which will look into the shocking pictures of n. Y. P. D. Vehicles ramming into protest as the spider earlier outrage over him defending Police Actions and amid the protests donald trump has said he will designate the left wing militant group on t. V. As a terrorist organization and his brain than a kiss for the current violence on destruction across the country journalist and t. V. Host ben swann told us that trumps thoughts on tivo could backfire. It was a lot of pressure on the president to move against that secret for some time there are a lot of people who believe that it does as a terrorist organization actually think its a very poor precedent because what happens is even though there are a lot of conservatives in this country who would say well thats a good thing we need to label this group of that as a Terrorism Group but as soon as your guy is not an operative for and you get someone from the other side that they will then want to turn around and label any protest movement on the other side also a terrorist group the establishment of the country is not sure what to make of these protests i think a lot of it has to do with its impart a black lives matter issue its in part a response to Police Violence against unarmed black men because weve seen this over and over but i also believe that or seen this in relation to the lockdown that happened in the United States there are a lot of people who have been frustrated with the Financial System theyre frustrated with not having jobs not being able to make money theres a lot thats going on thats creating frustration and then to see another blatant example of another black man killed at the hands of Police Officers and its not just one officer by the way theres video that shows 3 other officers for some time around george floyd and the fact that there were other officers in total who could have intervened and simply chose not to when protesters were saying on friday night and saturday night that their biggest frustration is that one officer has been charged but others have not been charged and they believe those officers should also be charged with murder youre seeing big coalitions of people coalescing around this particular issue which is a specific issue and import from one really to be protested but i think that there are other issues as well so i suspect we wont see at least for several days maybe even a week these these protests died out. Of me saying several its been playing out in the city of chicago where the man has strongly condemned the vonage behavior of roces. Small so hurt and angry at those who decided to try to hijack this mall and use it as an opportunity to wreak havoc to loot and to destroy. You should. Ask what you have done is to dishonor yourself your family and our city. Career d. That weve ever shut down the entire system the u. S. Has a long history doesnt it of busy. Problems between you know ethnic Minorities Police black People Police the way theyve been treated going back to the sixtys in fact protests and riots all over the country you did a live stream in fact talking a lot about it a lot of people are talking about change at a high level that are just lots of level what do you think can be done to change the situation fundamentally beyond words beyond you know platitudes what needs to happen. Police now believe me the black community the Minority Community we appreciate the police and what they do and we know the job is hard but if they break the law they should be held to the same standards if not more than the average citizen that will hurt or kill somebody and if it was on on just you know if it was a maneuver or d a tactic to kill someone on this series shooting in the back they should be held to the same stand so i think a lot of them will all of the riots and anger and attitudes toward the police. What do you make of president trumps response to comments about the killing of jones for what hes inflaming the situation hes hes him and his administration seem to be just enjoying the division between. Democrats and republicans and then making it a political issue when it should be just an American Issue and people coming together and see what i understand he hasnt made in a 3 issue announcement yet as far as telling americans we should come together and things like that just been kind of in my opinion make it up as we go on and actually inflaming the situation might talk about leftist groups and things like that having not talking about commonality what we can do as americans or d even going in and saying these guys who roam you know holding d the police also and so a higher standard and in the rest in. The the officer involved directly and not killing hes obviously been arrested and charged with manslaughter with murderers while the other officers are under investigation do you think if justice is served if he goes if hes found guilty if it goes to prison and i were speculating here but if that does happen do you think that justice will be enough. No because the 3 other officers d were they let them do it and im sure we have i have coworkers c. T. A. You know driver just driving a bus we know who are bad outlaws are we know what barrels are and you act accordingly. The Police Department know they can be 30 the Police Officers if they dont if they dont try to control that one bad officer it makes them all so they are just as responsible in my family because they didnt stop there. Minutes of having his knee on his neck so they didnt stop and so they just its lots of. What do you make of the way the police have handled the protests so far in your city and indeed across the country. I think the chicago Police Department on doing a very best they can but the situation is going on now theres a lot of opportunists just breaking into stores that has nothing to do with the death. Of mr flowing and the. Best is taking away too meaning what was going on with Police Brutality and all and the reason why calling karen a male male at the. At the Football Games and the reason why people on just said it to police to farm. But to Chicago Police are probably going to very best they can ask people come from what were you when you look in stores and burning store that has nothing to do with the movement tried to gain some consciousness so what were the movements of black lives matter of all sorts d is understanding you know what do you think those people out on the streets who are polluting stores buying stores are they very much in a minority or do you think the protests are increasingly becoming more violent and being hijacked and why do you think that is that as a response to this perception of heavy handed Police Tactics all have people just not enough. I think theres a mixture probably all of that people just had enough of it they sealed it no one cares. This little only way to lash out at the system. d they come from neighborhoods that theres you know economically deprived and you know its like you know you got to keep me low you going to. You know basically the system is put near me on im there so now stop sign to get out and just and just do what we can to you know maybe you know get close to whatever i mean is wrong but i understand the anger understand you just cant control yourself anymore but thats what you look to put their lives in at risk of danger of being shot well being hurt you know Something Like that is i dont understand it from that standpoint because im 52 years old and i just dont understand breaking into something to look or into or if im down as im poor i dont understand breaking into a school and and just you know risking my life and risking the rest. N. s headquarters have already been attacked earlier this week as the protest over the killing of george floyd turn violent demonstrators smashed the windows and chanted slogans the channels also been facing criticism for apparently suggesting that foreign actors had a hand in starting up the riots. You know c. N. N. That russia might be behind some of the rioting and. The acts of violence and destruction and i. Dont know they are both of our sailors russias fault are the same also the peaceful folks and say are my Community Members these are the folks that live here and now were going to where are you demanding change he seems more. I dont want to see inside job but i would say not necessarily people in the community are destroying things or organizing the riots at all its kind of. The core of the people on the outside minnesota closer states like michigan and stuff like that a lot of the kids who are arrested last night were actually. From wisconsin here and in other states around here i dont think thats possible because the people i see rioting theyre not russian they are there are 4 blooded americans you know and just people who choose to stand on the wrong side and i believe that they come in to cause confusion and chaos so that they can make the protesters look like like theyre bad people and we dont have a cause but what it really comes down to is when you look at that video of george. Floyd same i cant breathe i mean youre not human if you cant look at that and see thats wrong it doesnt matter for to policeman another man but this keeps happening over and over again and this culture has got to stop seeing it likes to make a lot of stuff i really dont think the russians would be down here doing this its me we the writers and theyre completely Different Group from the protests but you know Everybody Loves a conspiracy is a meanwhile c. S. With thousands gathering in Central London and the german capital as well as correspondents in berlin peter all of it has more on the european reaction. Well theres been outrage here over the killing of george floyd that video of the black man gasping for breath as a white Police Officer knelt on his neck ignoring his pleas has been seen by many people here and thats been seen in the demonstrations and the demonstrators that have come out on to the streets of cities like berlin we saw demonstrations on saturday and on sunday where they marched from the courts both region of the city to the u. S. Embassy near the Brandenburg Gate holding up signs like silence is violence hold cops accountable and who do you call when the police murder. Emotions running high here in the german capital as well as what what has been going on in the United States. Did not do enough. And. Yet. On the old berlin wall in mauer park here in the german capital a mural depicting george floyd has gone up over the weekend that includes his words i cant breathe which he repeated over and over to the Police Officer that was kneeling on his neck at the time away from germany in denmark theres also been demonstrations in copenhagen outside of the u. S. Embassy and in belgium those words i cant breathe were seeing spray painted by a graffiti artist along the side of a brussels train theres also being thousands of people out on the streets of the british capital in london scenes outside of the house of parliament to follow the square on the u.
