RT The News With Rick Sanchez July 12, 2024

Think of accomplishments usually of things that are positive well sorry to say this is not that type of record this morning the state of florida announced that its daily death toll for corona virus is at 173. Unfortunately that is a single day highest total ever announced by the Florida Department of health since the pandemic began the previous record was set july 16th with 156. 00 deaths the trend seems to obviously be going in the wrong direction i mention this here at the top of the show not to harp on numbers which frankly can get kind of tiresome right but because its that number and others like it that is causing us citizens to feel suddenly almost. Almost ostracized. Now heres what i mean this morning it is being reported that europe has officially started reopening for tourism once again yea right i mean this after months of a lockdown due to covert 19 that means theres now an expansive list of countries whose citizens will be welcomed in most European Countries today wow there appears to be so much confidence in the citizens of those countries not having keyword not having covered 19 most of them are being let in they dont they dont have to be tested and they dont have to be quarantine they can just travel among Different Countries there is the one glaring exception the United States of america so tonight were going to focus on travel where can you go where cant you go what are the limitations this is the news with rick sanchez or we believe we do stories like this because its time to do news again. Heres our list of the questions we think youll be asking tomorrow after watching our newscast today how limited is travel right now especially for americans our church is being attacked worldwide why is portland ground 0 for a constitutional standoff. Lets start with this you could really blame americans right now for feeling both ostracized and somewhat confused under normal circumstances countries would be opening their borders to citizens of the United States for if nothing else economic reasons. But she would know that is not the case so what we want to do is try to break this down for you by asking the question who can go were. Correspondent joining us now from the update desk to travel you i guess do or bust with all these numbers coming into that question for us so global borders being shot it isnt new for most of the world rakes try traveling with for example an iranian passport right and prior prior to covert 1000. 00 american passport gave you visa free access to 95 percent of the world while others had to spend thousands of dollars just for the privilege of being rejected anyways now covert 1000 however has suddenly made everything very different americans have now gone from x. Having access to most of the world to being banned from most of it so right now as an american and all the places you cant go so right now there are some countries that are open to u. S. Citizens now with no restrictions now there is companies there is countries like. North. And serbia now in western asia there is turkey in north africa there is tunisia then islands like the Dominican Republic and the mall deaves lastly there is mexico but only adding close resort to americans now the most you have to do in these countries that are open to u. S. Citizens is the Temperature Check at the airport then there are the situations that are also welcome americans but with restraint actions now here are just a few examples of the restrictions for example you can go to cambodia but you have to dish out a 3000. 00 covert 1000. 00 deposit kind of unrealistic since a lot of Young Americans tend to travel to Asian Countries on a budget then there is a United Arab Emirates has only opened up a dubai to americans all other parts of the emirates are still closed so if your flight is the abhi dobby well expect to be. Back now countries that are requiring it 14 day mandatory quarantine other ecuador and the u. K. So also quite unrealistic unrealistic for americans they usually only have 2 weeks of vacation per year so they can spend the 1st 2 weeks in quarantine then there is jamaica which requires that travelers coming from states like new york florida arizona and texas have 2 negative test results within 10 days and then we have wanda thats only welcome in americans coming on a private jet now on the other hand citizens coming from these countries there are a lot to go to right now so countries like algeria. Australia canada that only has 2 percent of the total cases the u. S. Has or a little over 100000 cases only and then japan and here we go morocco i mean the list goes on and on now these countries are currently welcomed into the you unlike the u. S. So right now the only stamp araik that makes an american passport usable is one that says vaccine on it you know its interesting as i listen to you i get the sense that not only is it difficult for americans right now to fly anywhere but if they do choose to fly somewhere the limitations that are being put on them are so big that it maybe could prevent them from preventable for them to do so. Thats thats thats really something thanks so much so for sharing that with us we certainly appreciate it joining us now to further this discussion and talk transportation is from the n. T. S. B. A former n. T. S. B. Official jamie french jamie thanks so much for joining us there forever so i guess my 1st question is one of the business because you talk to people in the airlines all the time and lets just do a logical end the mind here right if americans can fly airlines cant have passengers if airlines cant have Passengers Airlines could be in a lot of trouble or some of these are large jaimie going to be going under. You know thats the 64000. 00 question i mean we are is yet to be seen. A lot of them the major carriers a lot of them of already consolidated quite a bit and some of the smaller carriers like spread spirit or some of the frontier some of the budget carriers will see how they survive but the legacy carriers like American United delta. Theyre theyre cutting back i mean theyre literally losing millions of dollars per day. And so theyre theyre Cutting Services theyre. Cutting wrote other theyre using and. Come october 1st theyre going to start cutting a lot of people wow let me ask you a question since you work for an agency who is expertise is risk right now in the e. U. And most of the countries in europe are banning americans we learned now Hong Kong Hong kong. As an entity is all but banning americans. Should we understand why theyre doing this maybe the way to ask you this question is jamie can we blame them for doing so. No not really i mean we are not following what has been the standard rules that all the other countries are following. I understand the american independence on this issue i understand that there is we dont like to be being americans or like being told what to do but at the same time weve lost that kind of like were in this together attitude mainly because there has been mixed messages that has come from the top down throughout this entire process from the governors the president the local officials what have you its been a hodgepodge of of reactions and things that you need to do or dont do this or do that or in changes daily daily from day to day. And so i can see where the americans are very upset but as far as this goes this is kind of what were we can expect if were not going to kind of play. The rules in place nice with everybody else than everybody else is not to listen in the house let me ask you a tough question here put you on the spot because i know you can handle it. Give me the airline you think is least likely to survive and also the one that d you think is most likely to survive when all this is cited that well i think. The least likely to survive is going to be some of the newer airlines that have less. Equity and less deep and not as deep pockets like the legacy carriers but that is that does not mean and say that the legacy carriers are completely inoculated from this would be Like American Airlines yeah well america merican the legacy carriers are American Delta united southwest also but all of those doors and we had brand f. And we had eastern we had u. S. Airways all all of those have consolidated to these big 3 so i think youll see. Not just airlines. Cutting services as far as routes. Youre going to see a lot smaller planes that are going to be getting rid of some of the bigger planes delta has already announced its eliminating its triple 7 series and and program there in that been a huge component. For their International Travel so they let you know how much International Travel is has been impacted is there theyre just completely eliminating the triple sevens by the end of this year. Jamie fitch always a pleasure to have you and great boat for i think this is the news with rick sanchez youre watching our special coverage when we come back were going to look at a string of attacks on Christian Churches and statues and it appears to be happening globally well be right back stay with us. Ah no team no crowd. No shots. Actually ill speak. With a strong note the 1st. Points your thirst for action. Im chris hedges the corporate coup detat has destroyed our Democratic Institutions the commercial media is burlesque part of the reality show presence expose the trivial lives seen on contact question more. Ive seen the horrors that arise the money and evil. Corporate criminals who trash calculus lives to add just one more dollar to their millions. They threaten they bribe theyll do anything to keep their crimes in the door but the people theyve heard are demanding justice their stories need to be told on americas lawyer. Thank you for finally she means you. Understand youre tired of networks ready. No matter what. You know me d im famous for my views. Yours truly ready. Im holland cook i invite you to climb with me of the Mainstream Media and from that higher vantage to glimpse the big picture question more. Hey welcome back im rick sanchez there seems to be a troubling trend were seeing that only in the United States but around the world churches synagogues religious symbols being attacked yesterday we told you about a string of attacks here in the United States or to correspondent peter all of our reports tonight from berlin. When a fire ripped through the cathedral of st peter and paul in the last week it was watched around the world one with also an Investigation Continues in that case incidents of attacks against churches and going on reported according to the observateur e on intolerance and discrimination against christians in europe and to christi and incidents have skyrocketed 285 percent since 2008 director says its not just limited to france among countries that do report those numbers are rising as well for example according to the data provided to the organization for security and cooperation in europe by the u. K. Antichristian crimes doubled from 2017 to 2018 we know that they are right. In spain germany and sweden as well as statistics from the French Interior Ministry Show an average of nearly 3 christie and incidents every single day the numbers for here in germany less than last but churches are also a target last december a radical feminist group claimed responsibility 440000 euro worth of damage after a minibus belonging to a church into building was set on fire i have said before that churches are lightning rods for activity and each group has their own reasons for choosing to attack the Church Churches can represent the patriarchy authority tradition homophobia the christian west exaggerate it lamas target churches for Different Reasons and i guess what example but all of these groups are more and more active these days its not just activists that it concerned the clergy are also calling for more help from the state practically cathedrals they cetera must receive proper protection from civil authorities and any attacks on churches or religious images must be treated as what they are hate crimes while people like these want to protect churches they also feel overlooked as christian incidents go barely mentioned there is a major debate and way over whether acts of terror carried out by groups such as isis should be termed islamic terrorism at all but news with rick sanchez from germany peter all of the good stuff peter thanks for bringing us that report so peter is reporting that there is an increase of almost 285 percent and it goes back to Something Like 2008 we thought it would be a lot of to discuss this a little bit further so were being joined by 2 guests joining us now is former u. K. Member of Parliament George galloway also the host of the steve gruber show steve gruber himself gentlemen thank you so much for being with us steve im going to begin with you because yesterday you had this crime. Station yesterday about some of the trends that weve seen more recently we decided here to dig a little deeper on this and we found out that theres really nothing new about this in fact its been going on for quite some time and it should be very bothersome to all of us the attacks on churches that seem to be increasing year to year steve to you. I tip my hat to our t. For doing this for a great story great piece or by peter oliver. Illuminating whats really going on invented an Organization Called Gate Stone Institute says in 20193000 attacks occurred im Christian Churches schools cemeteries and monuments all across europe everybody seemed to be getting a tad it happened to the United States it happens in canada it happens in europe but to be honest with you rick its not just Christian Churches in thailand a buddhist temple attacked in Christchurch New Zealand we know what happened there with the muslims and sri lanka im Easter Sunday 260 people murdered i mean the list goes on and on and around the world it is seen to be an attack by an archivist so radical feminists as peter oliver pointed out far left for engine and some far left right groups as well its just push for secularism and i think maybe these churches represent. The traditions of these countries whether its poland or france of the United States the traditions the institutions being attacked here of Catholic Churches of mosques of you know synagogues all of this yak and its all under attack it appears in fact to your point steve im glad you said that i had one of our researchers pull some data for me listen to this last year 4 in 10 European Jews reported they considered leaving their countries because of their concern for their safety saw an increase of 52 percent in his lama phobic incidents so there just to be a sudden increase in attacks for the institution of organized religion or at least maybe thats the way im seeing it George Galloway what are your thoughts. Well all that is sacred is increasingly profaned in these godless and materialistic times 1 people are turning against religion turning against the idea of gone for a long time in this country churches were increasingly empty now theyre increasingly d attacked and thats something that is profoundly disturbing and the statistics you pulled out just sure how disturbing 3 attacks a day in europe against christian by symbols property or christians themselves and this ought to be extremely alarming to the mosque media the Political Class and the truck chyron rockets but it never somehow seems to be its like a christian phobia is the last respectable full b. A youre allowed to have 8 attacks on synagogues mosques are rightly condemned down deplored. Attacks on christianity are more ignored than deep lore yeah thats interesting why do you think that is steve i think george of raises a really good point there and you know we have to be careful im Catholic George i think youre catholic just for disclosure here steve are your christian. Yeah you know i think he hit on something very important there and its the silence of the media in general christians are open target its free game its a free for all whether its Easter Sunday or whatever it may be and these attacks are open and what youre not seeing youre not seeing militant methodists and barbarian baptists taking to the street quite the opposite as pointed out its an arc as far left fringe and focusing and i go back to to the idea that its an attack on the fundamental foundations of all of these nations of western civilization they attack the churches run the churches out because its an easy target maybe these young people went to churches and they didnt like the experience and of course the Catholic Church im im sorry to say has been has become an easier target because of all the scandals surrounding the Catholic Church so maybe this is the way its exacerbated in the public eye but it is disturbing that the media by and large turns a blind eye doesnt talk about it because like i said 3000 Christian Churches schools 700 monuments attacked in europe in one year that is a crisis its almost like a religion is not cool therefore its not covered as being such and i think you guys make some great points unfortunately were out of time my thanks to both of you steve george for being with
