Yeah they were part of the ku klux klan right there in portland and it mystifies a lot of people to think that because they always tend to identify only southern cities as having that the racist background but it does have a very racist past and whats going on now and this is really interesting because this goes to the question that you started with manila is so what we have are not just africanamericans protesting obviously because theres not enough of them but not an afroamerican africanamericans who are protesting right now in portland so thats creating a little bit of a conflict even in the Africanamerican Community some people think that those who are protesting are coopting the black lives matter cause so they can get their grievances heard thats in fact what the president head of the end is saying meanwhile the former head of the end of the piece says no no no we want don africanamericans all kinds of people to go out there as he said and join our cause it makes our cause better so its kind of an interesting yet dicey situation on both sides right now as people who tend to want to get their grievances heard more often than not it has to do with the economy wage discrimination undue wars are out there as centrally protesting under the guise of being part of the black lives matter protest and thats not to say that they dont believe in the black lives matter cause as well but i think theyre turning it more into an umbrella protest and thats whats going on in protest right now well as far as let me answer this rick i think a lot of people listening to a little bit a little bit of that history raised an eyebrow or 2 did to learn that the k. K. K. Had prominent. Cortland oregon of all places once upon a time so could perhaps now what were seeing could this be an over correction by the young people of Portland Oregon.
