To many people who witnessed this it appeared to be an abduction nikki stone was wanted for vandalization and destruction of Police Cameras at city hall but the method of her arrest have many worried about Police Practices during the. I dont think it is but you know some of this behavior app of the is in retaliation to defund conversation thats taken place in our communities as well as some of the politicians and the country and you know that they find issue is on a on the table in new york city along with some of the other issues that they look at not only how the Police Department operates but how effective it is in doing what it is that it does yeah i mean a lot of people obviously witnessed that i dont know if its meant to scare the other protesters perhaps i mean you spent a long time at metro p. Know no no it isnt and when you if youre going to make an arrest or you have a warrant then you said the war on the person you can serve it to him on the street you can serve it to them when theyre at their home but to do what we witness in the trade thats kind of unusual i dont understand that but again theres some strange things that are happening because the Police Responding to all of this call thats coming about what it is that they do so that is. Thats very unusual when it in terms of what they what they did with that person very unusual yeah how about we go over to Portland Oregon where the trumpet ministration has come under a lot of fire for sending out unmarked federal authorities to as they say protect courthouses and other federal property do you think. That there are their presence there does that increase tension and animosity at those locations or does it does it qual the chaos. Well i believe it does and the evidence shows that the other does as sick of it has been to increase the bound and send in the protests as it relates to what it is a school just to see magine if you take barricades and put them all up in a rail the government builds and thats the poles of the day are there to protect then whether theyre protected because the barricades at sentencing the judge as it will stay up is so you cant get to the building you cant get to be on the show and in a way that their behavior is definitely increasing the violence in portland and other places where they are as well its where they might be yeah now ron i want to bring in another voice another friend of the show former u. For a long time now on the broader scale we were just talking about federal authorities showing up to Portland Oregon to to protect federal buildings most mostly courthouses do you think that their presence there helped quell the protests or do you think it caused a lot more people to be tense and cause more havoc. Well my mandate u. S. Marshals and thats what i am you know for my job thats what our job is to do to protect federal courthouse federal buildings so they have a right to be there the bottom line is if theyre expanding their authority to try to go out and do stuff within their communities no they dont have the authority to go out of your show of all types of things in the community basically thats up to the local Police Department to have that so they can protect that courthouse so that that that is the piece thats i have to say they can do that now they are using Excessive Force all the day on the altar the same type of training and requirements that we all under you dont use Excessive Force or throughout its top down situations you try to just use there for protection so if people are trying to burn the courthouse theyll do anything like that they have every right to be this ok and what about their role as being on mark and and civilians are reporting that these unmarked authorities are how they would describe it as a kidnapping protesters i would say theyre there apprehending them arrest them but the people on the ground are calling this kidnapping by federal you know weve heard the phrase stormtroopers what do you think of that. What i have again now i see these are actual federal for you people that are doing this no they dont i dont see where they get this already from the ground round just simply going to grab people and kidnap them that of course if we got information that somebody got a federal warrant out of them with something that nature that makes it a federal crime then we can deal with that but if they dont have. If they dont i dont other than that i dont see any reason why they would need to you know this extended her view their perimeter and go out to iran and oh ok gotcha so the presence of u. S. Marshals on the ground there they could apprehend somebody if say that person had a federal warrant for or they really never. Go go ahead ron yeah any clever problem or it. Yes they do but i think what i think what received no is is raising the question of their behavior. Other thing is that this whole idea of them not having name tags on not having them that they have done a for information about who we are where they come from it raises the question of accountability to and and why has it done in secrecy if that they have been Law Enforcement people so that they have real countability and of and then that ability is going to fall back on the portland Police Department because in in in in place of the put the Police Department in the system now so it just raises a lot of issues i think in terms of local control and their behavior just needs a lot to be desired when we Start Talking about for example how they surely did that navy veteran when he was just asked the question clearly that was Excessive Force gotcha ron sticking with you because because you were a cop. Police departments across the country are coming under scrutiny for these heavy handed tactics as it is doesnt this case in new york city this video that surfaced doesnt match prove the point.
