Saarani: MB can only propose names, up to Perak Sultan to assent to exco list

IPOH: The Mentri Besar can only propose the names of Perak state executive councillors, as it is the prerogative of Perak Ruler Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah to assent to the exco list, says Datuk Saarani Mohamad (

The Perak Mentri Besar said this when asked if PAS would be part of the list, as there were five more exco members who have yet to be appointed.
“The post of the five exco members will be filled when the time is right, but you must remember that a mentri besar can only suggest the names, while the final say would be that of the Ruler," said Saarani.
