Safe path network on track for Broome community


Stage 1 of Broome’s Conti Foreshore shared path project now completed
Stage 2 connecting Town Beach to Carnarvon Street near Matso’s Brewery to be constructed in 2021-22
Project delivered with $616,070 joint investment from WA Bicycle Network Grants Program and Shire of Broome
Part of McGowan Government’s $220 million program to expand cycling and pedestrian infrastructure by more than 150km
Construction has recently finished on Stage 1 of the Conti Foreshore shared path project providing a high-quality shared path along one of Broome’s most famous foreshores.
The Shire of Broome secured $308,035 through the Western Australian Bicycle Network (WABN) Grants Program and matched the funds to deliver 1.3 kilometres of safe shared path from Town Beach to Carnarvon Street near Matso’s Brewery.
