On Tuesday, Sagkeeng Chief Derrick Henderson said searchers with AltoMaxx, a Toronto-based company, had arrived in the community and would begin the work of searching for unmarked graves in the area near the former Fort Alexander residential school, which ran for decades in the community, but was torn down after closing its doors.
