Sailboat Regatta Party draws a (socially distanced) crowd, check out our video walkthrough They may have been socially distanced due to state-imposed pandemic safety requirements, but area residents still came out in large numbers for Friday night's Sailboat Regatta Party at Detroit Lakes' Kent Freeman Arena. So what was all the excitement about? Inside the arena, a total of 150 three-dimensional sailboat sculptures — half of them four feet in height, the other half just 20 inches tall — were on display, for the first and only time that all of the "150 Sails Up in DL" public art creations could be found in one place.
