Dubai: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior has warned citizens and residents that they will be fined between SR10,000 to SR100,000 for violating social gathering precautionary measures, local media reported. According to Lieutenant Colonel Talal Al Shalhoub, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Interior, violators of family gathering measures will be fined SR10,000 while organizers of non-family gatherings will face a fine of SR15,000. “Another fine of SR40,000 for gatherings for social purposes such as funerals, parties and the like, exceeding the specified numbers. Any group of workers without residential relation in homes, buildings under construction, farms and the like, other than their homes, consisting of five people or more in one specific space results in a fine of SR50,000,” he said.
