The United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) has announced that Saudi Arabia will host World Environment Day in 2024. The announcement was made during a meeting held in Nairobi on Tuesday between UNEP Executive Director Inger Andersen and Saudi Ambassador to Kenya Khalid bin Abdullah Al-Salman. Holding World Environment Day in the Kingdom reflects the vital and effective role of the Saudi government in the environmental field, in accordance with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
