View Comments SAUK RAPIDS — Wearing face masks at Sauk Rapids-Rice High School's graduation ceremony will be encouraged but not required for entry after a Tuesday morning discussion between the venue and the school district, said Principal Karl Nohner. The graduation is set for 5 p.m. June 1 at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center. The limit of eight guests per graduate has not changed, Nohner said. On May 14, Gov. Tim Walz lifted the statewide mask mandate, leaving businesses the choice to enforce their own masking and social distancing rules. Public schools will remain under the state's Safe Learning Plan, which requires staff and students to mask up, until the end of their school years or through June 13 for year-round schools.
