Non-subscribers SBLC Summer Camp’s “Around the World 40 Books” Posted Submitted “Around the World in 40 Books” has been an extraordinary way to spend the summer at the South Baldwin Literacy Council’s Summer Reading Camp. The children in grades kindergarten through 5th, with a few 6th graders in the mix, have experienced a hands-on reading camp where countries, cultures, animals, foods, tutoring and crafts all came to life. The children visited all seven continents, traveled to 15 different countries and read a total of 40 books, all in eight weeks. Each camp day began with a specific country being introduced by a person that is originally from that country or has spent extensive time there.
