SC refers 67 lecturers case to PHC July 7, 2021 ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court Tuesday referred a case to the Peshawar High Court (PHC) concerning regularisation of 67 lecturers of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Grade 17. A three-member bench — comprising Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Gulzar Ahmed, Justice Ijaz Ul Ahsan and Justice Sayyed Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi — heard the case. The court observed that a civil servant in Grade 17 could only be recruited through the Federal Public Service Commission. Additional advocate general said the employees were recruited in a project and then made permanent. Justice Ijaz said first backdoor recruitments were made and then made permanent by bringing an Act.
