Scattered storms cause flash flooding in Central Virginia NBC12 Newsroom (WWBT) - Scattered storms moving through the region caused flash flooding around Central Virginia. Several flood advisories and warnings have been issued due to slow-moving storms. A Flash Flood Warning has been issued for Richmond and Chesterfield until at least 8 p.m. NBC12 Meteorologist Megan Wise said 1-2.5 inches of rain have already fallen in some of the highlighted areas below.
