Scheme to help Oxford diabetics with health extended

Diabetic
A SCHEME to help Diabetics in Oxford manage their health is being extended.
A funding boost from the Oxfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group (OCCG) has enabled Oxford City Council, in partnership with charity Active Oxfordshire, to design a modified GO Active, Get Healthy programme for lockdown.
More than 7,000 people in Oxford live with diabetes, and the programme features six months of telephone support to help participants build confidence with physical activity, make personal goals for moving more, and discover ways they can incorporate movement into their everyday lives.
Those with type two diabetes and high blood sugar levels can be at increased risk of becoming seriously ill from coronavirus.
