Scotia mother raises cancer awareness: 'there's hope' | Local News

Bongermino’s daughter was diagnosed just nine days after turning 23, while she was enrolled in a master’s degree program in homeland security that she hoped to leverage into a career with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security protecting the nation’s Capitol. But, her cancer battle forced a change of plans, Bongermino said.
